Meeting overview for the Eco Village and Building for the Future Ltd
The "Building for the Future" project is aimed at forging closer ties between the University and industry in the area of low carbon technology, sustainable living and futuristic buildings. Research funding has been allocated for a number of buildings related projects, which aim to tackle existing challenges within this theme. This may be, for example, energy use or generation, insulation, materials, architecture, "smart" buildings etc.
Project manager for technical areas: servers, desktop systems, laptops, linux, windows, web services
A university education to degree standard or equivalent is required, coupled with relevant professional experience
Four year initial contract, with possibility of renewal
Data assimilation, data preparation, model simulation and experiments
PhD level or equivalent, with postgraduate experience in atmospheric data assimilation and exploitation of meteorological observations.
One year with possible extension for two further years
The post is in the HPC group in the Systems Software Section of ECMWF’s Computer Division.
A university education, or equivalent, is required, coupled with experience in Unix systems administration.
Four year contract, with possibility for renewal
